:Hi all,
I'm having problems with my touch pad on my integral mouse.

I went into properties when i first booted my LT, and supressed the 'tap' facilities, as it is so sensitive that it's a menace.

The trouble is, I get a message now & again saying it has recognised another mouse and proceeds to enable the tap props again.
In the 'property box, though, it still comes up as disabled!
Help!confused:

Don't really know if this will work, but can't do any harm to try if you got XP

go to control panle\performance and maintenance\administrative tools\services and look for Plug and Play and change it's properties to Manual. Should stop it looking for new hardware.

hi there!
No, i don't use any other mouse, and sometimes it does right itself after reboot.

I emailed Synaptics about this, and they sed it's a problem they are working on-and don't know what causes it.

the driver is the correct one, as ive checked with the Syn site.
i suppose i have to put up with it until they sort it out!
