I have a biostar m7vks motherboard and it has a kind of memory ram share with the onboard video. But I bought and installed a new pci graphic addapter and couldnīt figure out how to disable the memory share with the old onboard video addapter. I updated the bios, but still find nothing to disable the sharing. (it shares 8mb with the onboard video)
Someone could help me to solve this problem??? :(

Once you disable the onboard video in BIOS (there should be an option to turn it off) it will nolonger use any shared memory, nomatter what it's sharing is set to.

But doesnt have any option to disable the onboard video. The closest option is to select with you are using the onboard video or a pci graphics adapter... (i selected the pci , but still sharing memory with the onboard video)

I would think that when you selected the PCI graphics adapter, the onboard video was disabled. How do you know it is still sharing memory anyway? Just from what it says in the BIOS? If that is how, then I seriously doubt that it is. Why would a disabled device use memory?
