Removing XP setup from OS list

A while back, i tried to install XP on my machine, however there are issues and i cant get a proper install. This means that in my startup options i have the following OS's

2k
2k recover console
XP setup

I have the system now set up to load 2k straight away, but was wonderign how i can remove the XP install from that list and my HDD alltogether??

Edit the boot.ini file and remove the entries for XP Setup.
delete the directories that this line points to. (dir name probally has $ in it)
