How about putting that Bad ***** system to use crunching numbers for our team @ Seti?

If I get my hands on any more comps. at work I really be pumping out some W.U.s!!! Slow and steady wins the race :D ..... for the most part we have LOTS of old 3-400 AMDS being used for data processing. Get enough on your acct. and you can get actually crunch some numbers :p - TOP TEN here I come.

We've already got three pcs at home crunching Seti... two running command line version... wifey's uses the screen saver.

My 11,000+ beast does a Seti@cmdline in about 3hr29min, and we've got a bit over 940 w.u.'s to our credit.

Can't wait til I get my new computer. Will be putting it together myself. I'll use some of the components of my existing comp. I have a Geforce 4 ti 4400 vid card and a Maxtor 40 gb hd that is formatted and ready for me to put xp on. I'm using it now as a primary slave to my 8.2 gb master. My next comp will be using the AMD Barton. It will be as follows:

Enermax full tower case with clear side door and 420w power supply and 2 fans
AMD Barton 2800+ (512k L2 cache and 333 fsb)
Nforce2 mobo
2 sticks of 512 pc 3200 ddr ram
Creative Labs Audigy Platinum sound card
Creative Labs 5.1 surround sound speakers with subwoofer
PNY Geforce 4 ti 4400 vid card
40 gb Maxtor hd
40x cdrw/dvd combo drive

I already know I can build this for about $1 Grand because of my existing components. AMD said they are planning on putting out the Barton up to 3200 and then go to the Clawhammer in October. They also have normal AMD Athlon XP's now at 2400 and 2600 and the reason they were stuck at 2200 for so long was because of heat dissipation problems, which are now solved due to a new layer of metal and insulators. You are in 32bit, and I am in compressed ~ should I change my graphics card settings for 32bit for a bump up in score?

i went to bios and i had one of my settings wrong, they are both on by spd now, i now hit the 11k on full default run, and this is what my system runs at 24/7:D i am so happy, i knew it had it in it......lol
