I know it does not run on win2k, but will it run on winXP or will I have to have a partion with win98 or ME to play?

1) soldier of fortune II works on win 2000, i have it, bigjakk has it and has a desktop screen with the icon on,

2) you dont need to partition your HD to install it...

who gave you these myths? who? ... man

I have SOF I and I cannot get it to run on Win2k. The SOF II box says OS=95/98/me

lol, something is wrong with your machine, it does run on win 2000, and win XP, it even says so on the BOX! you must either have no. 1 or a beta version?!

Well both SOF + SOF2 run a-okay on my 2k machine no problem anyways - so i cant see hwere your gettign this "error" from...

I tried out Number one one my system last night and Number one also works for me under XP.

tell us, what happens when you try to load it? or did you just believe what someone else has said and not yet-installed it?

you probably have the idea, but I run SOF II on a win2k machine and love it. Haven't tried SOF original yet, but wouldn't expect to many issues. I do know that some games won't run right on my machine - hope the latest SP improves it slightly.

Incidently update your DirectX version - MS released 8.1b for Win2K and XP fixes some of the compatibility issues I had at any rate :D
