Win Me compatibility issues PLZ HELP

hey i reformatted last night and i have a win98 cd and the win me upgrade on cd

after installing win me i forgot that i didnt install my scanner drivers

when i try to install them it says that the drivers are not compatible with this version of windows.

what the heck?

how am i supposed to use my scanner now?

in My Computer is sees the scanner but when i right click on it to scan it says no scanner found or it just does nothing at all.

how do i get my scanner working with out another reformat plz help!

go to your scanners manufactures web site and look in there downloads for updated drivers for your scanner.

Thats the first thing to do

if you cant find anything there post back and we might can find a work around

it would also help to know what scanner you have ?

Hi,
I'm using an HP 5200 on Win ME that was originally on a Win 95 Platform. When I started using it on this machine it didn't run too well with the ME Driver package. I loaded the original ones off the CD and it is a lot better now although it still has the occasional hiccup.

i have the hp scanjet 6200c, i went to the web site to get the drivers for win me and i got them and then when i start to install them i get an error message!?

grrr linux here i come

yeah i have the same probs w/ Win ME cause everytime i go to run norton cleansweep it says it wont work but i go ahead and run it and it does, but when i tried to run BEOS personal edition it wouldnt work cause it neds ms-dos to launch it and god **** windows me took it off. i dont know why bill does such stupid stuff.
