Im looking into getting a new video card. I would like to use my monitor at 1024x768 and also have tv out going at the same time. Is this possible? My past experience with cards you could only have your desktop at 800x600 while going out to the tv.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

yes is possible

i rigged up a PC theather and gaming

system for my Bro in law.

he uses only the a 52" TV as the monitor.

and we run it at 1024x768 32bit color

cuz he doesn't like reading tiny letters.

else it can be set even higher.

Any of the following cards will easily do it :
Matrox G4x0 (and the new Parhelia512)
Radeon 7500/8500/9000/Pro
GeForce4 MX series

If you're also a "gamer", I'd take the new Radeon 9000 Pro.
