The tech guy that talked to you just blow you off man.

Usually it should have been connected inmediately, as soon as they Click with their mouse the Submit Button.

Which Cable are you using?

ATTBI, Rogers, Road Runner, AOL high Speed, Bell, Bell south, etc????

i'm using Adelphia. and before u start flaming them and saying how terrible they r, i tend to think they aren't THAT bad. most of my friends have Adelphia and they are happy. anywayz, it still hasn't connected yet so i'm still stuck with AOL... *tear*

i'm not saying they are bad, i'm just saying that the tech guy, did not took the time to help you out.

as i said it's usually instant ON/OFF
else!

the 2nd problem could be on the actual line that goes to your house.

then you'll need a guy to come in and check for the SIGNAL strengh,

did anyone check that for you before it got installed?

this was a self-install job and a seperatly bought modem. installation went fine, but the darn thing still won't connect. oh well. here goes another call to tech support.

I C ....

well unless you have a Cable Signal tester, and if those Darn Tech Support people are willing to tell you which type of signal you should look for, there's no much you can do, unless some one comes in and checks your wiring for you.

might be too strong, or too low the signal at your computer.

i got a tech guy to test the signal strength because the modem still hasn't connected to thei network. signal came back fine, so it's not that. the only answer i can think of is that the ppl at the provisioning department simply haven't gotten to me yet. (which is a total load of ****.) the tech person i spoke with this second time said that he'd put the MAC address in again and send out another thing to the provisioning dept as he didn't have a record of me calling the day before. i'll just hafta wait and see wut happens. anything anyone else can think of?

Man.... sorry to hear that :(

but if it's really the deal with the MAC address not listed on their list

there isn't much you can do.

and WTF, that's that **** about no record of your Previous call, what a bunch of a$$es they are.

well this to me definitely qualifies as a bad service already.

when i first set up AT&TBI, i made them refund me a month of service, cuz of something similar.

But at least they fixed it for me the next day.
