I've been goin' nuts for a couple of weeks (and with a nickname like "crazy" I don't have far to go!)

I built my first DIY with mostly hand-me-downs. It worked fine right from the start running a Celeron 466. The board would support a P III up to 1 gig with a 133 FSB, so upgrading began, and so did the troubles.

Tech support helped me tweak the settings as I installed a 533/133. It had been giving me errors with every move, now it would work for a while, then lock up. I became a tad frustrated.

I bought a stick of Micron PC133/256 (it's cheap!). Tonight I substituted it for the PC133/256 stick that came with the mobo. Everything works like a charm!

Do I have enough evidence to prove the RAM I was first sold is bad? BTW, it is from Quadrant; at least one board member went ballistic at the mention of their name.

What do I tell 'em?

Yes, you have enough evidence the memory is bad, if you tell them what you posted, they should be willing to exchange the memory.
