Anything by Gigabyte sucks. They use low quality parts and their technical support is non-existant!

I only own a Socket 7 Mobo from them and its the only thing that has ever worked from them. Don't worry. Some stuff works , then some doesn't. Seems like they don't test each and every peice of hardware that comes of their factory.

all the old stuff i've used from them has been A-grade, but a friend of mine bought a GB mobo in y2k and it did have problems. socket7 seems to be the latest type i've heard no probs about.

What good does a socket 7 board do anyone though - unless you're still running a K6 or Pentium I - and if that's the case - I'd just save the $ for a new system instead of buying a new Mobo! I was actually considering buying a GigaByte board - has everyone had bad luck with them? One of our local retailers seems to swear by them - but then again it's about the only local shop I've never bought anything from!

it's like with cars. sometimes you're lucky and just get a good one, other times they're absolute dogs. if ya don't like the mobo ya get, change it
