Norton Anti Virus 2002 & WXP Issue

I had wxp home installed and everything was working great. I installed norton 2002 from add remove programs in control pannel, and run live update got all of those. Things still worked fine until I went to tools, on browser for windows update. The page started to load and then it just closed, tried again, same thing. I typed in microsoft.com in address and it went to their sight and the same thing, it just closed the browser, like you click the X . I tried to find a fix and coldnt, and had to reinstall xp, the problem went away, by not installing Norton. Anyone using norton 2002 in wxp? If so how did you install, and configure it to work with xp?

Yes, my Dell came with XP/Norton 2002 installed. Never had a problem in almost 8 months.

I use that combo with no trouble. You can always use System Restore is things go wrong - or simply disable NAV while updating.

This sounds like a glitch. I would bet that you won't have the problem again. Just be sure to update Norton!
