How do you take a screenshot?

Stupid question: I know that in windows, to take a screen shot, you hold down the windows key and hit print screen. How do you do it if you have an old keyboard without a windows key?

Naaa, just hit "Print Screen"

Then open clipboard viewer and under "window" click on clipboard

Got no idea about the windows key, myself I just hit print screen, then paste into paint. It worked for me in 95, 98 & W2K

If you just want to take a snapshot of the active window---try alt+printscreen.

Harry - Check the color depth of Windows versus the color depth that you're running AOE at. You may find that you're running AOE with more colors than Windows is set to. Many graphics apps will automatically adjust this for you, but Paint is a pretty basic program....

Also, some games do not like the Print Screen button, NFS 3,4 in particular. Usually, they have a special screenshot key to use.

Try the capture program here if you like little icons in your tray you can just click for your screenshots.

hey i got a question a while back i tried to take a picture while in age or empires 2 and i use the print screen button and i hit it and it takes pic but when i paste it into paint, the colors are inverted or something and it looks really weird - any ideas?
