I've been having some problems with my computer freezing during games and I have this vibe that it might be my video card overheating. I have a GeForce 3 Ti200, and it comes with a stock gpu cooling unit. I'm wondering if I could get a reccomendation on another fan? I heard Lasagna by TenneMax was good. Thanks in Advance! ;)

(I did install latest drivers, etc. The unit also seems very hot to the touch)

Did you overclcok your card?
The stock cooler is very good. I see no need to get a new fan !:)
I think all the Video cards run Hot .
My GF2mx 200 is hot I you cant even tuch it. I have no problems
You may wana download the latest drivers and see what happens. This should slove your problems!

Are you sure it's a heat related issue? I have a GF3 Ti 200 as well and when I first got it, all it had was a large black heatsink on the GPU, no fan no nothing. Never had any problems whatsoever. I wanted to overclock the card so I ended up buying the Thermaltake Crystal Orb. It's a pretty good cooler. I also have ramsinks on the memory chips as well. All of this allows me to get a decent overclock with the card with minimal problems. But if you end up changing the stock cooler, you should check out the crystal orb.

I just checked the fan. It seems to not even be running at all! I tinkered with it for some time and the fan doesn't even budge. Now do you think this could be my problem?

Yes, when the GPU is too hot, the computer will hang/freeze.
The theory is same as the CPU/processor.
I just repair a old old Cyrix pc , the person claimed the system hang after he start the system for half an hour.
I try to format the drive and install the window, but the pc keep on prompt error message and the pc hang.
Finally , i had checked that the cpu fan is not running at all, replace it with a new 1, that's OK.
Guess what?i try to touch the CPU heatsink with my finger ...OOOUCH ,it definitly will burn my finger...hehe

Well that could be a contributing factor, most definitely. What are your system specs like anyway? Which driver version are you using for your card? Does your comp freeze up with any game you play or certain ones?
Nowadays, not only CPU needs cooler, even graphics card needs it.

Then you better get a new one!
Leavin it with a fan can be dangerous.!!
Thermaltake Crystal Orb is a very good cooler.. YOu may wana get thart one..
Yes..agree;)
Imagine the GPU running at how many Mhz?
Maybe the future nVidia graphics card NV3x series will require adding RAM cooler?who knows?imagine they use the DDR II RAM running at 1Ghz/1000Mhz..
