i have 1 ISA slot left in my comp but don't have any sound should i go with a sound blaster PCI and get a ISA NIC(do they even make them with an RJ-45 port anymore?)or vise versa? thx...

For the NIC card, use the PCI clot. Unless you are a multimedia production company looking for a high-end sound processor, you are not going to notice a difference in sound quality. PCI is just convenient for sound cards since most motherboards have done away with the ISA slot. Many companies make 10Mbps ISA NIC cards (Ethernet with RJ-45). I have one in an older system. You will see 100Mbps NIC cards only for the PCI slot.
