alrighty, i have 350 dollars in equipment here and i am itching to use it.
2 IBM 75GXP's (30GB model) with a high point tech 370 RAID 0/1/0+1 card

will this raid drive be totally transparent? just tell windows to install onto the new/blank "c:" drive?

also, i have a 3rd hdd, that i would like to keep ( i back up all my stuff onto it) should i keep this on the onboard ide or a separate channel on the raid card?
the onboard will be detected first right? giveing whatever hdd on it dibb's to the "c:" label right? (this is a prob cause that drive is bootable and i want windows to boot from the raid not that drive)

ok to simplify my dumb rambling into questions:
i have 3 drives, 2 are my raid, the 3rd i want to be recognised as d: do i have to use the raid card to address the drive and have it as D or can i somehow use the onboard?

is a raid 0 totally transparent?
can i disable one channel of the onboard and allow the raid card to use that IRQ? (if its good enough for the onboard its good enough for my raid card hehe)

Thanks alot guys,

Dosmastr
btw, i fixed my previous problem with a bios update (stupid gigabyte and thier hard to find bios updates)
