Ok I have the original game it is not a pirate. I also have the other Commandos, behind enemy lines. BEL works just fine, though the sound is dragging right now (I dont know why). But BTCOD, even with a full install, and the CD in the correct tray, it still keeps asking for the Disc, I cant even get anywhere. The thing is I tried the No-CD patch from gamecopyworld, and it worked, I could play the game, but the Sound is awful.
Remember when you walkmans batteries were running low and your tape began to drag, thats what this sounds like. I thought it was because of the patch, but it does it on both games. My MP3s seem to be fine. I am using a Hercules Game Surround Muse XL Sound card. I have tried multiple PCI slots, and uninstalling and reinstalling the game and sound card; Still Drags.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix either issue??

Well if the game is faulty you can get a replacement!!!
I have got comandos behind enemy lines (full retail ver) I had no problems.
I think you must have got the illegal version.

May be its your hardware (your sound card)
try updating the sound card drivers.
have you tried the same game in another system?

i honestly don't know what your problem is... i think it may be a soundcard problem for the sound, it may run MP3's and the like, but the game may have a problem with it, try reading the README file, it should have some informations on both of your problems.

Well that solves that issue, thanks alot, I didn't see that when I went there. Now the audio. The thing is all my other games seem to work ok. I know it is not the game cause it used to work on my other motherboard with onboard audio. The Pyro website says turn down the volume, that didn't help, and that my sound card may not be DirectX 5.0 compliant, but the soundcard came with DirectX8.1 ?????????? I am stumped. I even installed the DirectX that came with the came that didn't help.
