Does everyone think RPG should follow Turn Base Strategy game type (like Fallout,Jagged Alliance...) or follow Action (just hash and slash) game type (like Diablo series , Dungeon Siege....) ? TBS game will take a lot of time to play but still remember by a lot of people (Fallout...) and can play again many time after finish the game, Action game type is easy to play but easy to forget (don't play it again), is it right ? Share your opinions with me !!!

I think I have to agree, games like Diablo get boring after about the 2nd month of playing them, but TBS games like Fallout never get boring. My personal is Final Fantasy Tactics. I think that it would be cool if they made it for the computer.

I like the Fallout series, they are the best. when it comes to Turn Based

But when it comes to hacking and slashing i like LINEAGE 2

Nothing can beat the turn based/real time combo action of Jagged Alliance, I wouldn't really consider that a RPG though.

I look at it like a

Strategy, Action, RPG, and RTS.

it is just too good for only one. :p :)

my fault, Jagged is a half-breed.

A TBS mixed with rpg elements.

RTS + TBS are real time strategy and turn based strategy, there really aren't not action elements, cause action is always real time and jagged is turn based... i still couldn't get past that damned first level tho, i could only find a wrench... stupid game, ;)
