DDR will have greater performance from the speed,
under windows 98SE/ME
going from 192mb pc133 to 512mb pc133 only yields a 10% speed boost at best.
in win 2k/NT the number is 256MB going to 512MB and thats also about 10%

DDR has good ideas behind it but the chipsets that are out now for it aren't really taking full advantage of it < according to tomshardware.com >

hey i just had a question i am getting a computer that has 256mb 266mhz DDR PC2100 SDRAM, is that the same as getting 512mb pc133 sdram?

?? 256mb 266mhz ram = 512mb 133mhz ram ??
