Now that I have my friend running the game on a fresh install of xp, she wants to take up where she left off before we had to format. I have 6 M.Payne game files(save game) backed up on cd.Is it possible to insert these into a fresh install of the game, and continue playing. She says she was about halfway through it, and doesnt want to start from the beginning. Could it be as simple as copying the files to the same folder.? I'm not at that console right now or I would try it.

You can take of where you left .

Yes it is as simple as copying the files to the save game directory.
Just copy all the backed up save game file into the Maxpayne save game folder.

Try and find a mod for it called:

Ultimate mod

Its nothing massive, just a whoel loada hnew guns, kung fu, extended bullet time, new max skin...

ITS BLOODY GREAT :D -- real John Woo stylee...

Only downside is the extended bullet time can make tings a little easier than the original game was :(

Be sure that when you move the files over to the max payne saved game file that you uncheck the "read only" button. Some games won't play right if the files are read only.
