This is possibly not technical enough for this forum, but I was just wondering if there exists any product that could switch off power plugs when you shut down your computer. As in, I have powered speakers with a separate powered woofer, an old monitor with a manual power switch, and an ancient printer also with a toggle type switch and was wondering if there was anything to turn all this stuff on and off when I start up/shut down my computer.

Just get yourself a good surge protector (about $15-20) this will help protect your equipment from power surges and if you shop around, you can find them that also have connectors for your phone line...protection for your modem! Plug everything into it, and use the power button on it to turn everything on and off at the same time!

There are simple multi-outlet "surge protector" strips that hold your plugins, I prefer the type that fit under your monitor as you can easily switch on the devices as needed, I bought a few for 9$ apiece recently that are similar to this:
