I've started using os/2 warp 4 and am beginning to really like it. I've learned that there is one really good book for warp 4 that was published in 1996 by Prentice Hall. It is no longer in print and I've searched high and low to find it. Perhaps someone here at sysopt has a copy they'd like to sell.
I its " Getting to Know OS/2 Warp 4 "
edited by Stokes.
If anyone reads this and knows the whereabouts of a copy, please respond.
Thanks for the looksee and possible help.

There's a computer store in my area that has some old OS/2 stuff (they're a used/legacy specialty store - they carry all the hard to find stuff). I'll check there for you and see what they got - but does it have to be Warp 4? or will just general OS/2 books help you out? I'll let you know what I find - also just gotta know - WHY are you still interested in OS/2? Not meaning to be insulting - just curious

I am looking for this specific book, "Getting to Know OS/2 Warp 4" edited by stokes. It is the only book written specifically about warp 4.
Why the interest in OS/2 ? I like seeing how different systems function. Linux distributions are really so similar I am tempted to say they are alike. They have their differences, but basically, they use the kde, gnome or whatever. The way the packages are put together defines their differences.
Nothing wrong with Windows. I use 2K and XP and like them both. My grandkids (4 1/2 and 2 1/2) use Windows 95 and 98. They are pretty good with the computer I've used BeOS and offshoots of it and like them very much. I've had macintosh and they are fine. Just hadn't tried os/2. There are many people out there in cyberspace that continue to use it and will never switch to something else. Is XP better? Is 2K better? Is linux better? Some people say os/2 fulfills their needs. It is fast, stable and it runs a ton of programs. I am no computer guru, in fact I klutz through everything, but I like its feel and the way it operates. Some people say the interface is ugly, but it is classy, in my opinion.
Off the soapbox.
If you want to try it, let me know.
Any help you can provide Paco 103, I'd appreciate.

Cool! I guess you might as well try everything - you're almost there:P Well I'll look around and see what I can find for you. I wouldn't mind seeing some screenshots of the OS if you can post a few. Just kinda curious what it looks like
