AceAirman 07-24-2002, 11:34 AM Ok no system specs/requirements have been OFFICIALLY released by Ubi yet for Rainbow Six III: Raven Sheild. Anyone wanna guess? Bigjakkstaffa 07-24-2002, 11:57 AM Well i had the original Rainbow 6 and it was hardly very taxing on my 450 Celeron at the time, havent seen any screens of RB6: III like -- but theyve never really been amongst the most cutting edge FPS's technology wise anyways.... --Jakk:t grimfandango 07-24-2002, 12:23 PM Rainow six RAven shield Minimum 700mhz 16mb video 128mb system ram 400mb hdd!!! AceAirman 07-24-2002, 12:26 PM you sure that it won't take more disk space like GR did. Like a gig or so? gibsinep 07-24-2002, 12:31 PM Min, 650mhz 128mb 32mb video card 1.3GB hd space grimfandango 07-24-2002, 12:32 PM Originally posted by AceAirman you sure that it won't take more disk space like GR did. Like a gig or so? I was saying it was the Minium system... recommended system requirements 700mhz-800mhz 32mb video 160mb ram 800 mb hdd!! :p Bigjakkstaffa 07-24-2002, 12:44 PM i should be able to run it comofortably anyways :) --Jakk:t AceAirman 07-24-2002, 12:46 PM I think gib hit the nail on the head. you too grim, but minimum 700mhz is pretty high for a minimum. But looking at the trailer for this game you never know. There are games with those minimums so who knows. AceAirman 07-24-2002, 12:47 PM Oh well, the point is this game is gonna kick ***. :) :) :) :) AceAirman 07-24-2002, 12:48 PM Has everyone here seen the trailer? ftp://ftp.ubisoft.com/games/ravenshield/media/Ravenshield.mov gibsinep 07-24-2002, 01:34 PM Downloading it now, I hope this will be better than Ghost recon. before I get flamed I am just joking I know there are at least 2 fans of the game in this thread, and dont want to start another love fest with ghost recon between them. ;) :p AceAirman 07-24-2002, 02:25 PM oh whatever! lol. Please, love has nothing to do with it, it is a shared enjoyment of a great game. lol But anyway, I think you'll find the movie impressive. The features you see in the movie will be playable (except kicking open doors, that was removed since it is easy to be shot doing this, instead you can charge at the door). The new features will be awesome. Such as opening a window partially to see in, or slowly opening a door a crack, or bursting in with a more realistic version of the flashbang, etc. This game is awesome. Plus there are 150 different weapon combinations. I believe there are some 53 weapons and for each one you can add either a silencer, a mini scope, or a thermal scope. 150 COMBINATIONS of real weapons! Awesome game.:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :D :D grimfandango 07-24-2002, 02:39 PM THis one is going to be better than any other Rainbowsix series... :t :t AceAirman 07-24-2002, 02:47 PM Indeed it will. Indeed:D :D grimfandango 07-24-2002, 02:52 PM When will the gAme come out?? AceAirman 07-24-2002, 06:40 PM Current schedule is for Fall 2002. SOON! Hopefully no delay! AllGamer 07-24-2002, 06:49 PM Kool!! something new to add to my collection. Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon Desert OPS are the only 1st person Shooter games that i really like. anything else including Ultima Online 2003, Quake 3 team arena, Tribes 2, Red Alert Renegade, etc etc, they all sucks. IS NOT REAL enough, too fake. but Ghost Recon, was the first one that was able to bring that Realistic feel to this type of games. The previous titles by the same guy, are good, but Graphically sucked. but this new Rainbo Six, using the Ghost Recon engine, really rocks grimfandango 07-24-2002, 09:24 PM Originally posted by AceAirman Current schedule is for Fall 2002. SOON! Hopefully no delay! FALL 2002!!! IS the DEMO even out yet ?? AceAirman 07-24-2002, 09:49 PM Well grim, no the demo is not out. In fact, the demo hasn't even been scheduled for release yet! That is why I mention delay. I hope there isn't one, but lets be realistic. It does sound too soon for no demo and for the first trailer at this year's E3. I have a feeling that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell will also be delayed. But lets hope that Rainbow Six: Raven Claw WILL see a launch this fall! AceAirman 07-24-2002, 09:51 PM Both new Tom Clancy games will be good though, regardless of when they launch. Unless of course the launch is in like 2004 or something dumb like that. AceAirman 07-24-2002, 09:53 PM Speaking of Splinter Cell, anyone wanna guess those specs. I bet they will be almost identical to Raven Claw's. grimfandango 07-24-2002, 09:57 PM If they launch both the games together the demand will naturally be less. People will want to but one and buy the other later by then the game would have become old. They will never launch both the games together. You are right Splinter Cell and Raven shield will be using similar engine so the system specs will be same. AceAirman 07-24-2002, 10:11 PM Oh I don't think they will be launched together because UbiSoft is involved with both. This time Red Storm is not :( but Ubi is and you are right about demand. I just think they will BOTH see a delay. They won't hit shelves same time, but I don't think either will hit on schedule. But maybe they are farther than they are leading us to believe. Heck, the demo may be launched post-game launch. It happens. AllGamer 07-24-2002, 10:12 PM Originally posted by AceAirman Speaking of Splinter Cell, anyone wanna guess those specs. I'll say they'll similar to the Ghost Recon specs grimfandango 07-24-2002, 10:19 PM Originally posted by AceAirman Oh I don't think they will be launched together because UbiSoft is involved with both. MOst peopel will like to play the demo first and get the game. peole who dont know about R6. If this games comes out by 2003 no one will ever get this. By 2003 Doom3, Unreal 2003 will be out. AceAirman 07-24-2002, 10:20 PM No Splinter Cell will require more. They'll be more like Rainbow Six III: Raven Claw. 650-700Mhz 32mb video 128mb ram Although this game looks like it could achieve a lot, especially the INSANLY BEAUTIFUL lighting effects. So its recommended may be higher than Raven Claw's. Maybe: 800-1000Mhz 32mb video 256mb ram ? AceAirman 07-24-2002, 10:22 PM Grim-Well yeah, hopefully demo comes out first, just saying it isn't unknown for the demo to be later. But yeah ur right, I didn't think bout Doom and Unreal. But I will still get it, trust that! ;) AceAirman 07-24-2002, 10:25 PM Both games will prolly fall in disk-space wise similar to GR though. They'll prolly fall around 1.1-1.4GB and GR started with about a gig. That will be similar, but not other specs. GR isn't as detailed as R6 or Splinter Cell. grimfandango 07-24-2002, 10:31 PM What makes games Like this special is the Fact that there not many games like this. This is ofcourse a first person shooter and all that . But other FPs games are so unreal, In other FPS games you got to get shot atleast 10-15 times before you die This is the only game where if you are no careful enough you die in the first short. 1.1-1.4 gb for started what about minium. It should be like 400-600mb right? And I am sure that all these games will need a good 32mb video card to play them smoothly. AceAirman 07-24-2002, 10:41 PM You're right grim on the stuff bout being shot so many times. But I dunno, the minimum may be a high requirement in disk space. GR's minimum is listed as 1GB of space! So these games may stay in that range. Plus when they are in that range it is easier to create an expansion such as Desert Siege. And trust me, Raven Claw will see more than one expansion! It is in the R6 tradition. So it is hard to call if the minimum disk space will be lower or if it will stay high. A question to ponder. Beeblequix 02-02-2003, 10:17 PM http://www.raven-shield.com/demo.php I know it's an olde thread, but this post belongs here. :) Get the demo. Be warned, it's a 199MB file, not to mention the 70MB patch version 1.1, so all you wretched souls with dialup, well, make a friend with DSL...;) ßeeßle S!x hoodedrat 02-03-2003, 12:43 AM any of you out there playing the demo look for me... my alias is dennis NJEnviroguy 02-03-2003, 10:29 AM What servers do you frequent?
