I'm looking for some DVD software for WindowsXP that will allow me to play a full-screen movie as the desktop background image. A few years back, I had a cable-ready graphics card that would allow you to do this with cable.
Any suggestions out there?
Thanks

My ATI tv tuner card does this in videocd or tv mode. But I know of no dvd player software as of yet that does it. I have too many icons on desktop anyhow to see anything through them. But I know what you mean.;) :t

Aye, I agree with Grim; PowerDVD works great for me (including in full screen). But, this is WinXP we're talking here, so...hell, who know WHAT works on the bloody O/S.

Now is this really possible. To play movies in full screen in the wallpaper. How can you do this.? The wallpaper needs to be transparent. Is these anythig like this?

Cant you paste it into paint, imaging or PSP and save it as a pic attachment -- you could try putting it in a .doc, renaming it to a .jpeg, posting it here and instructing us to change it back to .doc -- if ya see whadda mean...

Fudge. I tried that now but it wont capture the live tv image. It just shows it as a black background instead of the tv image I'm seeing. Dont know why but it has something to do with it being a moving pic and not a still-anybody know of a prog. to do that with? I have ati capture but it doesnt capture the desktop-just cant win.:( :t
