Plextor and Second HDD Dual boot

Hi Everyone, I have a plextor 12/10/32 CDRW set as master on my secondary channel. I would like to dual-boot with Win 2000, I have an extra HDD I would like to use. Can I slave it off the plextor and use it for Win 2000 o.k.? the reason is I hear the CDRW should be set as the master.I don't really want to slave it off the primary master as that HDD is a 7200 rpm and the extra HDD is a 6 gig 5400 rpm. I think I'd put the 5400 drive on the primary IDE channel with the 7200. You likely won't be using them simultaneously for anything critical, but either might be feeding the Plextor at various times ... backing up data and so on. The difference in platter speeds is not an issue.
