I saw the lower post about the kakworm and this is what I have but didn't know what it was. I ,downloaded the fixkak.exe and fixkakb.exe and ran them both and they both say I'm not infected. I still get the driver memory error at start up and when i delete the kak.htm file in windows and the signature default they come back when I restart so I know the virus is there. Any ideas on what to try short of reformating my pc. Thanks for any help. fangoria

It sounds like you do have the "B" variant, and I'm not sure why the fixkakb.exe didn't work. Maybe your system is set up a little different than the default settings.
Have you tried the manual repair? http://service1.symantec.com/sarc/sarc.nsf/html/WScript.KakWorm.B.html

Edit- I wanted to repost the removal instructions for the first variant also. http://service1.symantec.com/sarc/sarc.nsf/html/Wscript.KakWorm.html

The exe programs wouldn't rid mine of the Kakworm either....I HAD to do the manual deleting....make sure your view options is set for view ALL files, or you won't be getting all of them.
