I have noticed that tcwo.com has the cheapest prices for processors i have ever seen. I keep looking at internet stores and magazine ads, looking for cheaper prices on processors. I just can't find cheaper prices! Have any of you seen cheaper prices on processors than tcwo.com?

example: Athlon XP 2100: $163

Pentium 4 2.53Ghz: $607

Good Luck with accubyte, I'd rather go with TCWO, check out both of them on resellerratings.com, ,accubyte = 3.96 vs TCWO = 8.97, I've never had a problem with TCWO and they also throw in a lifesavers roll in each cpu order, I've bought 3 this year and each time its worked great.

Todays Pricewatch.com oem prices including shipping is as follows

XP 2000+
Accubyte = $125.90 - non pricewatch price is $139.95 + shipping
TCWO = $125.95 - non pricewatch price is same

XP 2100+
Accubyte = $155.89 - non pricewatch price is $179.95 + shipping
TCWO = $156.95 - non pricewatch price is same

XP 2200+
Accubyte = $208.94 - non pricewatch price is $239.95 + shipping
TCWO = $208.95 - non pricewatch price is same

--------------------------------

P4 2.26
Accubyte = $240.97 - non pricewatch price is $261.99 + shipping
TCWO = $245.00 - not listed on pricewatch, website price only

P4 2.4
Accubyte = $348.97 - non pricewatch price is $389.95 + shipping
TCWO = $365.00 - not listed on pricewatch, website price only

P4 2.53
Accubyte = $595.98 - non pricewatch price is $651.95 + shipping
TCWO = $610.95 - website lists at $607.00

as you can see very competitive only a few bucks more for that peace of mind that you will get the cpu on time with no hassles. And they don't play games, there is no pricewatch price bullsh** vs website price, TCWO gives you the current price listed on their website whether you go thru pricewatch or direct thru their website. And thats cheaper then Accubyte's prices on their website. Btw TCWO shipping included in price.

But you want to save a few bucks go ahead with Accubyte's pricewatch price and good luck in getting it on time if you get it at all that is.

I agree - TCWO has a much better reputation for customer service than Accubyte.

Newegg is also competitive on processors, and has a great reputation - check them out as well

I bought some stuff from newegg.com but I had to really carefull. The items they have show pictures (thank goodness) but they tell the specs of the hardware in a very awkward way. I had to return some stuff because it was defective. The RMA was no problem at all! What I would do, and I will do the same thing, is research and know what you want and search newegg.com for the specific item. Other than the awkwardness of the listings of the items, all my stuff works and it was like 300 bucks cheaper than buying retail. Most of their prices are below wholesale prices which saves you a lot of money. Has anyone tried their refurbished products section at all? Any good?

I actually want to take back what I said about newegg.com being the best. I was wrong. I ordered a case, mobo, amd processor, and ram from these bozos and they gave me either.. 1. wrong parts or 2. defective items. I have tried 2 times to deal with them and this is the last straw. The OEM processors will burn up because they unlocked them to be faster than they are... The case p/s was defective.. and mobo worked for a while then stopped... the ram melted and silicon is showing. They said they would pay me back. I doubt it! They haven't even sent me my check yet for return shipping. I have reported them to the BBB and they are investigating their professionalism and products they sell. Just would of been better off getting these items direct from the manufacturers. Their customer supports stinks. They really don't know what they are talking about. Stay away from NewEgg.com!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (notice all my !'s)

^^^WTF^^^ I have coaxed my mom into ordering from Newegg twice, and my friends have ordered from them MANY times. They are polite, helpful, and very willing to help or return items. Newegg is very proffesional and no one I know personally has ever had any problems with Newegg. BTW most of what you have said Thronka is BS or you have no idea how to set up a PC. Ram melted with silicon showing... PLEASE... Unlocking the processors..... SURE S%!T BUDDY!!!!:mad:

I beg to difer. I run a professional business where all I do is build business machines, and do some websites, tape to cd (backup tapes) and etc. The reason I tried newegg is for the lower prices so I would have better profits. I just wish I hadn't. They sell low quality items, the video cards are not bad quality. They are actually good. It is just that the items were not labeled and described very well on the website. I wish I had still stayed with my local mom and pa store. I have lost abput 100 dollars with newegg. I however, would still buy the video cards.

Newegg.com - Great place that I have ordered from countless times. Great service and great support crew. I love them.
TCWO - Also a great place. They do free shipping on everything, so it is a good place to get a case or monitor from due to the weight in shipping. Very prompt and always quick.

CBWnet.com - BEWARE! I got my first Athlon 2200+ from these people. I got it a month later and it was defective. So, I attempted to RMA it, but they sent it back. Apparently, their brilliant techs said it was okay. So, I had to call their head tech, talk to him, call Asus (maker of my mobo) talk to them, then call AMD, then call them back to tell them that AMD said it was dead. Only then did they believe me. Even so, their support is absolutely atrocious. I could rarely get their RMA department through their automated phone system, and when I did send my chip back for the last time they took a week after signing for the package to "receive" it. A WEEK. I just got my refund a few weeks ago. NEVER order from these people. EVER!!!

Asus, Epox, AMD, Intel, Gainward, MSI, Samsung, Kingston, Crucial, Sparkle, Corsair, Lian-Li.... Those sound like low quality products to anyone? No? I didn't think so....:p

I will say that Newegg has screwed me up a few times, they shipped wrong motherboard and they had no problem with returning it, I didn't want to pay the return shipping so I sold it on Ebay instead and got $20 more for it.

They changed the layout/format of the website and that screwed my shipping address, I tracked an order and realized it was going to an old address, after going round and round with their customer service people they kept saying it was my fault and that they would charge for making address changes in route even though I had just ordered a few weeks ago and it came to the right address. I called UPS direct and had them track it and they said Newegg had already requested an address change, I got my delivery that day. I'm still pissed that they gave me such a hard time then they did exactly what I asked anyway.

Other than that I still order from them and still think highly of this compay, over the last 18 months I have only bought refurbished items and other than a few minor problems everything is as they claim.

I am happy with this vendor. (ps I'm still pissed at that csr)

You have to watch accubyte though they will kill you on shipping. They are in my area as well and have often tried to bait and switch me at the pickup window. Kinda shady there.
