Why do MacInGosh computers Suck

1. Mac's suck because they cost twice as much as an IBM compatible.

2. Because there are exactly four programs that are Mac compatible.

3. Because there are exactly four different hardware mfgs that build stuff for them.

4. Because there are exactly FOUR people in the whole world who know how to work on the evil things.

Even my family is not exempt from children going down the wrong road.

I don't hate MACS! I love MACS! They flyyyyyy when it comes to graphic applications! I personally own two of them along with my dually, G3 and G4. The only reason I posted this was because there are so many MAC-Bashers in this forum.... LOL http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I haven't had any trouble with the mac I came in contact with, and there ARE more than 4 companies who make software/hardware for them. Perhaps there are 4 major players, but there are many others.

Some of the many I found just by thumbing through the latest MacAddict Magazine include Global Village, Seagate, Epson, Lexmark, Mitsubishi, QPS, Orange Micro, Inc., and many more. And that's just hardware.

I know that I have about zero chances of making ANYONE change their mind about their platform of choice. Myself, I am a fair-weather Mac-guy, but I enjoy my ancient Celeron 433 machine that I built myself.

Windows PCs offer a level of customization and tweaking rivaled only by Linux and other Unix-based OSes. But when I want to get real graphics work done, I use a Windows port of a Linux program called Gimp. It's a substantial improvement over the MS-Paint program.

I really don't know what causes people to be so very vocal against Mac computers. It seems rather silly, becasue Macs don't really have much of a chance of overtaking PCs in popularity and market share. I see no reason for PC users to feel threatened by the presence of Macs.

As long as there are people, there will be opposing viewpoints. The last thing I want to do is start a war, because I'm clearly outnumbered here.

I surprized you are not running a Mac emulator on that PC.

G3 emulators may be coming soon, that should allow running above OS 8.1 on a PC

Linux has a Mac emulator - all I need now is a Mac ROM image and the OS -too bad the last 3 Macs I came across I donated to charity without thinking to copy the ROM image.

i ma mostly a pc person but i do own a g4 and i use it all the time i can also tel lyou taht there are more then 4 people that know how to work on them i work at the corporate office of compusa as a computer tech and there are 35 other people right next to me and all we do all day long is help people with MACs i will agree that that iMac is evil and needs to die as well as the cube but the G4 tower is a rather fast computer
