yup, the title says it all.
Sony have realised that people bought a PS2 to play GTA3, so they have bought the licence for the next 4 years, and making the game for their format only. Say good bye to Vice City........

I think they have lost a market - I won't buy a PS2 just to play GTA, never, I have a £1500 PC, why do I want a £200 console?

don't you get it, Sony Interactive have bought all the publishing rights to GTA series of games, I guess Rockstar still make them, but Sony or Sony's publisher, will only make PS2 games.

i lent the 1966 London Mission pack thignie and wsnt really taht impressed - it was more or less more of the same... i wouldnt have payed a full price -- but there is a budget pack with both in -- sounds good to me :)

Welcome to the game consel world. Thats what I was saying during the pc vs. consel thread. I dont support game consels cause you are promotings this **** right here! Die sony die -love their home theatre stuff and etc. but they should just give up the game consels-all they seem to do is ruin it for everyone with their Bill Gates tactics!:rolleyes: :( :( :( :t

This is a stupid idea though. I bought GTa3 for both PS2 and the computer so the didnt lose anything off me. Also the computer one was a little better with all the cool mods and stuff. Like making the shotgun fire as fast(no reload) as the M16 or M4 what is it? M4 right?

Why not put your PC's idle time to good use by downloading the seti@home client HERE and then joining the Sysopt.com Users 2002 Team HERE

Not true. The GTA franchise is only exclusive to Sony until Oct. '04. This exclusivity only pertains to consoles not the PC. GTA3, GTA Vice, and any GTA game made between now and Oct. '04 is exclusive to the PS2 but does not pertain to the PC. Go to any gaming website and look up Rockstar's interview pertaining to the subject. I remember reading it on gamespot. Anyway, the only problem being that the it will come out on the PS2 first but it will eventually come out on the PC as well. Nothing to worry about guys...:) Even if it only stayed on the PS2, I wouldn't care....I have one and I love it. I don't care what anyone says, I'm a console gamer at heart but I love my PC as well. No worries, it's coming to the PC.

O.K. so its not going to be on xbox or nintendo game cube. Thats typical game consel warfare! I can live with that! The point is and I think by what your saying this is how the co.s are looking at it-PC's are not consels and should not be limited to whatever games. By releasing a ps2 game on pc its only gonna help the sales. They are two dif. beasts. :) :t

lets face it, consoles are good in some ways but companies are not. i mean look at the PS2, it has some great games for the anti-pc or pc-illiterate crowd out there, even some good games for the pc-literate. But its the companies that let it down, everything is getting ruined and will all be a pile of **** at the end of the day. Bill Gates will not reign hahaha! and i have no idea what i am talking about as i am stupid. :) ) ) ) ) )

Consoles are sometime good! But you cant upgrade them at all unlike a com!! you can always add a better card/memory etc....

but the game dont run that well com consoles..Like max payne.......
