I'm building this P41.8A box for a friend and I am using the very nice little SiS chipset. It officially supports 400MHz FSB and DDR333, but the bios has an option for 133Mhz FSB (533 quadpumped).

The board I'm gonna use is the QDI Superb 4.

Has anyone tried running it at 133Mhz?

Well if it has the 645DX chip on, then it's officially 133 MHz CPU bus capable.

Oh I see, I'll go check now thanks.

Still if it's not the one, is it like VIA's A rev chips? I mean could it unofficially handle 133Mhz, or is it either intensionally castrated? Or maybe silicon that won't run that high?

Well, kind of ... not exactly, but SiS645DX followed the SiS645 without changing too much. They just added the "DX" which was there anyway
Just to keep up with everybody else I guess ... this one probably more stable ...

I've got the Asus P4S533 which uses the SIS 645DX chipset.

I'm running the retail Northwood P4 1.6A o/c'd to 2.13 GHz (16x133) @ stock 1.5v w/the cpu/memory ratio set for 4:6 or 133/200 (DDR400) using 1-512 meg Corsair XMS3200 v2.1 (Windsor) DDR stick.

It runs great and fast.

I'm using a Gigabyte GA-8SRX mobo that uses the SiS 645 (no DX) chipset and does 133 with no problems.

Great thanks. The QDI uses the vanila 645. No big deal I just wanted to know if it can overclock. I don't care particularly but people want the "extra room".

I'm gonna put it together this weekend. I really like this QDI board, full of features and great price.

Thanks for all your input.
