quake 3 demo how??

i downloaded the quake 3 arena demo. now how do i do the benchmark???? you know so i can see how many fps it runs at on my machine??
or do i need another programm?

with this program you can find fps for all the game!(any game)

fraps don't work in all games, it don't work for quake 3 too. All you have to do is bring down the drop down menu by pressing the ~(tild) key, and then type in show_FPS 1 and that should work for ya.

Or if you want to run the benchmark, press ~ and then type timedemo 1, press enter, then type demo demo001, then press enter and when it finishes press the ~ to get your results

didnt try fraps i used the console commands! cause thats how all the benchmarks are done!!!
when u run it its soooooooooo fast lol

there is this other post i did allready about it cause i thought its a bit high
ok i ran quake at 1024x768, all 32bit, higherst texture details and the quality slider to the full! triangualr filtering on. (basically the best visual you can have i had on)

my machine is: athlon xp 1900 @139Mhz FSB
512MB DDR ram at 2*139Mhz with cas 2
creative geforce 4 4400.
creative sound blaster audidgy 5.1
MSK K7T266 Pro2 mobo
win xp

please not that i am using all that is availabe from www.quitepc.com that included the silent CPU and GPU cooling and the hard drive enclosures plus silent fans and speed control devices (i know i could use speedfan as well but hell why not)
so my system is fairly quite (very quite to most of the athlon xp community or people who have a geforce 4 which is LOUD)
my temps are: hd0= 44C 80GB
hd1=47C (just mp3) 40GB
cpu=49 (under load)
case(the mobo temp i think) = 38 (load)

not that i am using an aluminium case from Coolermaster the ACT 201 series i think (dont remember bought ages ago and doesnt say on case) which helps cool the Hard drives i think cause they are in contact with the hard drive enclosures and spread the heat.

and some other nice equiqment i bought like office keyboard and nice mouse. HELL what else are you supposed to do with a student loan if you live at home and dont need it! Though this year i do and i need to budget!!! so no PC upgrades
i know my system is to die for!!! :cool:

PS yes i didnt overclock my geforce and i might do it today to see how far i can push it and i think i can increase my FSB a bit too but i wanna keep temps low

I just got 165.3fps Is that good? I have a Abit KR7A 1700XP 512mb RAM 2.0cas 8500le 128mb video card.
