Is there any way to convert .ASF to .MPG?

I need a way to convert .ASF video (microsoft mediaplayer format) into MPG or MPEG video format. I'm downloading all the M$ developer kits & tools now to see if they'll help. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pinacle makes a card that will do it (see their MP10 at pinnacle.com) and Xing Technology makes a software solution (see their encoder at xingtech.com). Both are around $250, so they are not cheap. A modified Xing encoder is free as a plug-in for Adobe Premiere. But Premiere's not cheap either! Good luck.
