I'm using driveimage to backup my c: drive. Of course the c drive gets bigger as I install more apps. But my windows folder keeps getting bigger too. (winme btw) 1.17 gb now. That is ridiculous. What can I do to shrink that? I use the default disk clean to get rid of temp files. What else can I do?

Wow, thats a big Windows folder.
Sounds like the system restore thingie is out of control. See if thats were all the space is going and if so, turn the darn thing off. Drive Image will provide a much better backup if you keep the images fairly current.

Dave, I turned off system restore and me whole computer crashed bad. Took forever to get it running again. I did reduce it to 200 mb max.
I did find a lot of the usage.
In windows-options-install I have 154 mb. I'm not sure if this is needed. Also I imported all my mail folders for outlook. 99mb there. anything else to delete?

I found that in outlook there is an option to store your mail folders in any directory. So I stored them in the same folder that I always backed them up to anyway, http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Found more space. I use agent newsreader and it was keeping some sort of temp file. Down to 456 in the windows folder. I'm a happy camper now.
