Hi Peops,

What is the recommended temperature for a P4 2.26 GHZ? I keep on experiencing freezing during gameplay and I assume that this could be the problem.

The temperature I'm currently experiencing now is about 45/46 C for my motherboard and CPU!
Is that too high is that normal?

your cpu/mobo temperature is normal!!
If you put in a better heatsink/fan you should be able to reduce cpu temp to about 38-39!!!

Is that 45-46°C load or idle temps? If those are load temps then you have nothing to worry about but N'woods should run a little cooler than that. Well, even if they are idle temps then you still have nothing to worry about. How hot is it in the room where you comp is? That could affect your temperatures as well. Also, are you using the stock HSF with the included thermal tape or are you using thermal paste instead?

:D My current CPU temp is 32C. I have a Volcano 7+ with some Artic Silver applied to the CPU and heatsink. :D

If my CPU had nipples...they'd be hard!!!

Grimfangdango.....I am currently running a P4 2.26GHz CPU. The 32C temp is while I'm in the BIOS...so I'm assuming that would be at idle.

Any kind of program that would allow me to check the temp while the computer is at full throttle (100%)??

Oh...by the way...I'm using a CoolerMaster Aluminum case (ATC-110). Two large fans drawing the cool air in at the front of the case....one large fan blowing air out the top of the case and one large fan blowing air out the back of the case. :D

I think it's beginning to cool my house too!!:r
