hey guys, first time builder.i've installed an asis nv7m motherboard w/ an atholon xp 1800 cpu and have 512 mb of ram into my original nec brand atx case, not sure about the power supply(probably 250 watts)the problem is that when i boot up my computer the screen says that my installed cpu is an atholon xp 1150mhz(1.15gb?)my friends have told me that i need to tell the bios what kind of processor that i'm using or set switches on my board to do this,i can find nothing in the bios menu or on the board that pertains to this. also after fixing several problems the computer was running great, i loaded norton sysworks and some security patches that i downloaded fron the cnet website and now the comp. freezes up and i'm having problems booting and when it does boot the desktop appears not to have the motherboard video drivers not installed.help!!!

You definitely need more power - 350W minimum.

In BIOS setup, set the FSB to 133Mhz - that will boost the CPU to about 1550Mhz, which is where it should be. If you're using DDR333 memory, go to the memory section and see if there's a manual setting for asynchronus +33MHz. Read your manual.
