This board doesnt exactly allow you to overclock however as it isnt and overclocking board. Overall though a very stabe inexpensive board. Also the board has no RAID or debugging feature. :t Baddog 07-19-2002, 09:53 AM Originally posted by nadine HI:Does anyone heard of ECS-K7S5A + Sorry I thought you were looking for a "ECS-K7S5A +". Benssax 07-19-2002, 07:38 PM Originally posted by nadine Hi:yes I believe ECS- are going to Release the new ECS-K7S5A + SIS 745 this mobo it doesn,t support SDRAM PC 100/133 only DDR . thanks laters, nadine Hi the board your talking about is the ECS K7S6A, supports DDR2700:) no sdram nadine 07-20-2002, 09:17 AM :t Hi:No I meant the ECS-K7S5A+ sis 745 and not the K7S6A -sis 745 the ECS-K7S5A+ is not released yet here in CANADA Or USA or UK but some peoples in TW and Italy has it cheers laters, nadine Rocketmech 07-20-2002, 09:54 AM How about a link so we may review it? or a source? The TW website does'nt mention this board , nor the USA site. Only the K7S5A ,K7S5A2 and both have the 735 chipset. Also, the K7S6A which has the 745 chipset. We are bewildered! Peter M 07-20-2002, 10:05 AM Rocketmech, skip it. The K7S6A isn't the real McCoy. What you want to review is the PC-Chips M846FL http://www.pcchips.com.tw/M846FL.html This one makes good use of the SiS 745, having FireWire, decent sound, and onboard LAN. regards, Peter Rocketmech 07-20-2002, 04:55 PM THX Peter, I see the likeness now, the pcb color confused me ;) For those interested I found a link from Japan for the K7S5a+ http://world.altavista.com/sites/dede/pos/babelfish/urltrurl?lp=ja_en&url=http://akiba.ascii24.com/akiba/news/2002/07/17/637294-000.html The article suggests the K7S5A+ is just an attempt by ECS to bolster the 745 by capitalizing on the K7S5A 's popularity. Regardless, they both have all the features one would need at a value. It will be interesting to see some user reviews. SysOpt.com
