Yes.
In Outlook Express you can, Go to tools/new account signup.

If you have regular Outlook maybe you can try to import it from Outlook Express.

There is a workaround here using Outlook 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q234/7/04.asp

I'm not sure about hotmail but yahoo and mail.com can fwd your mail to outlook. I have several that do that.

Yahoo is a PO3 account and will work with most e-mail programs. But your ISP may lock out foreign SMTP severs, so you might not be able to SEND. If you can get it to work in both directions, Yahoo works smoother than Hotmail with OE 5.x/O2K.

Outook 5.x and Outlook 2000 can be configured to work with Hotmail. All are Microsoft programs. It gets a bit herky jerky.

Personally, I READ my e-mail at the Hotmail site and SEND/REPLY from Outlook Express. It keeps viruses off my computer. Besides, there seems to be a problem that Internet Explorer freezes when I use the REPLY at the Hotmail site!
