Ok just wondering what some of y'all out there think of these two boards. I was looking at buying the P4B533-E motherboard, but since I have been reviewing it, lots of benchmarks show the S533 outdoing it all the way around, and there is a big price difference. I thought there was an issue with the SiS chipset?? Something like, uh, it sucked!! Maybe I am mistaken and misread something. Anyway, what are your opinions on these two boards, I know a ton of people out there have some of these, so let me hear ya.

My take is that the SiS is faster. My opinion is that the Intel chipset is better - more reliable.

What's your fancy? Do you need your PC to be available or do you want to kick ****?

Hmm, available or kick ****?? Hmmm, what a question. Thats a tuffy, I want it to FLY!!!! I mean I am gonna take the 2.0A oc to 2.5 (I hope), I plan on playing games, handling videos, MP3s, and maybe some programing, I got my other ancient computer to take care of the books and stuff. :D

Then SiS is your chipset. ;)

ok can you tell me what really differences you have seen?? I mean not tech differences but like performance. Everyone seems to be talking about how stable and great the B533's are, I have not heard much on the SiS Board. Doesn't Sis and nVidia have a conflict?? Also by chance you wouldn't happen to know if the SiS board has the SMBus connector like the B533 does??

Not that I'm aware of.you wouldn't happen to know if the SiS board has the SMBus connector like the B533 does?? That connector is for the chipset - not the CPU. It's unnecessary on the 645.Everyone seems to be talking about how stable and great the B533's are, I have not heard much on the SiS Board. Neither have I. Since I don't own one, I cannot comment.

A question with regards to the B533....What chipset does it have exactly, the above link with the page breaking down the eight chipsets show a Intel 845 and Intel 845D....The D having DDR support and the previous not. But looking at the description of the B533, it says it has the 845 with DDR support. Am I missing something?

It has the 845E chipset. The "E" is a quad-pumped 133Mhz memory bus - hence 533.

The reason I was questioning the SMBus interface is because I am gonna connect another Temp sensor and Tach monitor to it. THanks.
