I know on a desktop you can remove the battery if you forget the password but what about a laptop? Its an ACER running win XP. Can you just let the battery go dead, unplug it, then recharge the battery?

Midknyte 07-17-2002, 04:35 PM you can use killcmos to clear the bios settings: http://www.utilitygeek.com/details.php?fileid=82 I've used it several times on laptops. :D SysOpt.com
