never feer optimus, your sound techy geek is here.

Depending on what sound system you have theres to ways, for both you just need a leed from your sound card as you would normal speakers and from that into your amp,via a two way phono lead.

1. if you have a stack system, just plug the phono lead into any socket. 1 left 1 right. and select that setting on the amp. I use Aux.

2. if you have a hifi then just plug from the sound card into line in. either it will be mono or stereo so just check before buying the leads.

Also the leads are available from ANY electrical shop. i got my first one from dixons but eventually i got a Huge 10M cable from my local hardware shop

Hope this helps. Its really easy to set up. Just make sure your amps turned off when you connect the plug to the sound card or you will be hearing crackling feedback for days

a problem may arise with volume. is your sound card self amplified?

i have used both sound blaster 16 and 128 and tjhey both give great results trough my stack. It sounds way better than the £100+ sound systems currently on the market

What is what I was wondering about, with more speakers don't you need an amp. and more wattage?

your stereo amplifyer does all the sound amplification not the sound card that just outputs the sound with its own scalable volume control which channels the ressistance. I currently have 6 speakers out of my technics amp and it sounds GR8

I think I have the cable that you drew in his picture but it's not long enough. Is that what you mean said you bought a 10m cable from your local hardware shop? Is so, what kind of cable am looking for again? I really bad on naming technical parts..

the best thing to do, if you can is move the pc next to the amp and see if its the correct cable. If it works then take that cable to the hardware/electical store and ask them for an extension lead cozting around £5
