Since my recent site update: www.otheos.clara.net (http://www.otheos.clara.net) , people that had bookmarked pages from my old site directly now only get my ISP's 404 error page and give up.

Since I cannot go and create so many pages all pointing to my new site, I thought if I had a 404 page that would come up everytime someone was trying to access a page no longer accessible would be great, and people would easily directed to my new site instead of my ISP's site.

Thank you

The 404 pages probably won't be changeable as they host multiple web sites from the same server, so therefore all sites share the same 404 page. The could if you asked them modify it for you? Otherwise create re-direct pages for each old page of your site and point to the new site.

it depends on who's hosting your site. if they're even a decent host they will include the ability to create your own custom 404 page that will show if you try and hit a page in your domain that doesn't exist. here's an old one (that i need to update *lol*) of mine .. www.psyklone.com/lalala (http://www.psyklone.com/lalala) and here's the one that my wife made for hers www.fluttergirl.com/lalala (http://www.fluttergirl.com/lalala)

i'm sure that if you dig around in the options and services available with your host then you'll find how you can do it.

cheers!
