well, im looking forward to getting a new vid card for my extremely crappy comp. celeron 500mhz 320mb sd ram intel 810 graphics controller vid card..

Ok now here's the question...if i were to buy a pci ddr vid card... would it work on my comp with my sd ram?¿and if so... does anyone know where i can get a good one... say like a gf3ti200?

thx for your help :)

DDR vid cards work with both SDR and DDR system RAM.

However, the Gf3Ti200's in PCI mode, will be a bigger issue.... i'm not sure of they exist, if they do they will be rare.

If you don't have an AGP port, then I suppose you will be looking at a GF2MX or one of the scarce GF4MX's in PCI mode.

Really, don't expect to get massive graphical performance from a PCI vid card coupled with a 500Mhz celery.

I just think buying a new vid card, well anything above a Gf2MX4** for that system is a waste, I'd get a new system totally.

Check in BIOS that you can disable the onboard graphics before you buy.

If you still really really want a new vid card, get a Gf2MX, anything above that will be to powerful for your processor. Also they are cheap, and still run many games reasonably (with decent CPU's anyway).
