I need to get a screenshot of a webpage every hour. That sounds simple, and it is - if you sit infront of your 'puter 24/7, which i don't.
Is there anyway i can set windows/a browser/ a program to fetch a web-page every hour, and then save it under a different name than the one before?
it can be done with a script easily - but im not a programmer. I've also given some thought in using windows own task manager...
Any ideas or solutions?

Knock-Knock...
This post is some 2 months old now. I actually thought this would be real easy, but i guess i was wrong.
No ideas? Really?
...Back to my own think-tank...

Do you need text only, or does the site contain graphics?

well - the graphic is the same on the webpage, but the numbers differ (Sysopt's RC5 page)
I don't want to take a screenshot every hour, so it would be easier if i just saved the html - the graphics should still be on the same location on the web.
Does that make sense?

Thanks Banti! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
I've been fiddling with this problems for some months now - so any help is appreciated!

I'm sure there are programs/utilities out there that will do that. Check out http://www.nonags.com/ and browse the freeware section.

Kooba - a page made by Virus (ASFAIK) where all who crack RC5 for sysopt can see their stats - how many blocks they have crunched on what day.

Actually, I am using c++ builder. They had a simple html browser as a coding example, so I am adding a timer, an automated update routine, and a save routine. The first (and possibly only) version will have hardcoded values, some can be changed (URL) while some will remain static (save interval). Eventually, these would all be read from a config file, but right now I am just goffing around.
tepo the link will be posted here for everyone to download.
Will post when there is new info.

Also if this goes well, and I get my hands on a copy (legally... before I get any offers http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif) of J Builder, I could port this to linux as well.

Sorry about the delay. I have recently been laid off. Needless to say, my free time has been spent in job hunting endeavors. I will complete the project as soon as i can.
