I know there are better coolers on the market, but the Golden ORB is about the coolest looking one out there.
I checked with www.2cooltech.com (http://www.2cooltech.com) and they don't show one for a Socket 7/ ppga370 .
Anyone got a dealer in mind who sells them, besides thermaltake that is..
thanx

Hey Richard
I bought one at this place last year. <A HREF="http://www.plycon.com/gorb.htm" TARGET=_blank>http://www.plycon.com/gorb.htm</A>
But be careful with the mounting brackets. I broke the mounting clips on the S7 socket. that bracket routine of theirs sucks.
Now I hold the Golden Orb down with zip ties. It works effectively. But not recommended.
Edit. Sorry -- I payed 14.99 and about 6.95 for shipping. Thats why I bought it. It was cheap and looked really cool. Plycon is operated by one guy/family out of Georgia, I think.
Shipping time was reasonable too about 7-10 days. If your not in a terrible hurry.

I bought mine from Axiontech.com.
Comparable price as above, fairly cheap shipping (they "don't profit on shipping"). Bought a lot of stuff from them recently.
I have the 370 version on my k6-3+.
I'm not crazy about the smaller circular bottom, as I prefer the whole chip covered as with my previous HSF, but the GOrb is much quieter and performs just fine.
It's not a hard-core overclocking cooler, but you're right, it looks and feels pretty cool! hahaha http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Axiontech really is a nice site, they have had orbs cheaper than anyone else for a while, and pretty big selection of stuff. I wish I lived in Houston again, I would save on all those shipping charges.

Dr.Vette,
Check here http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/1/cat1.htm?807
Your link is not correct. I purchased FOP32-1 for my K6-3+ thinking that its something I can use when I upgrade to Duron/T-bird in next six months.
