Hey guys. My bro is coming home tomorrow, and i promiced him he could have my Radeon VE card as he wants a good tv picture.
So tommow at Am i will have no graphics card. AHHHHHHH.lol
So my imediate options as im on a small budget of £60 is
Radeon 7500 64MB DDR Tv-out @ £55
Geforce 2 Ti200 64MB @£60
I really want a card with more GRRR than the VE had. I dont play Mega games but when one comes along in say 3 months i want to be able to play it
Of the two which do you lot think is best (of another in that price range, bare in mind i live in the UK)

Xp1800
256PC133 Ram
ECS K7s5a MB

I've see the 7500 All in Wonder in action and it was nice, but was not impressed with gameplay. I would recommend the GF2.
GeForce2 Ti would perform on par with Radeon 7500 most of times, but I prefer nVIDIA for its drivers. There're simply too much patches, fixes and updates for a newest games for ATI cards nowdays :(

Thanks guys. Ive been looking in to the GF2ti200. and its seems as good buy, but as im now running with the Trident cards which had RTCW running like a slug (actually not atall). Ive noticed on the way to the purchase button a Geforce 3 TDH??? these are the specs...
"Third Generation Nvidia GeForce3 nfinite FX (tm) GPU.
On Board 64MB -3.8ns DDR Memory
Lightspeed Memory Architecture
High-Performance Hardware Anti-Aliasing
350 MHz RAMDAC
On-board TV-out support up to 1024x768 resolution
DVD software included
AGP 4X/2X, AGP texturing and Fast Write supports Microsoft DirectX 8 and OpenGL 1.2 Optimizations and support
Programmable Vertex Shader
on-board DVI support
Second Generation Integrated Transform and Lighting (T&L) Engines
Ive looked it up on the net and have got mixed views. As it is the same price as the GF2ti200 is it a good card and not just a cutdown version Games wise o the Geforce3. it has TV/DVI which i want so i was just wondering what kind of games card it was

There is no Gf2 ti 200!!!!
Only the gf2ti
THese are the Gf3 cards and their speeds..
Gf3 ti200
core= 175/memory =400
GF3
core=200/memory= 460
Gf4 ti 500
core=240/memory= 500
The gf3 ti 200 is the slowest version in the Gf3 line of cards!
GF3 is better than the Gf3 ti 200
your choice of the Gf3 is good go and get it!!

cheers grim. Theres so many graphics cards and variations of graphics card out there today that i cant make heads or tails of them all. But that GF3 TDH looks like its based upton Ti500 specs and for the price its at £70 looks a cracking deal for the UK.

Thanks for ya help evryone especially grim :-@

cos if a GF 3 Ti is better than a GF 3 original then 2+2 is... :)

3.8ns memory should easily give you the (default) 526MHz, and maybe even more :rolleyes:
Great card. Good luck :)

I upgraded from the GF2 T200 (32MB) to the ATI Radeon 7500 AIW 64MB DDR. Personally, I know the Radeon is not as good of a gamers card, and the GF2 is a VERY nice card, especially when you consider its age and price, but I prefer my Radeon. I think it gives better picture and definitely features. If you're not a hardcore gamer, I think it's a great choice for great picture and wide range of possibilities. However if gaming is your main concern, I would say GF3 or 4 hands down. I still prefer my Radeon over the GF2, but if yours has 64MB, it might make up for the difference I noticed with my 32, I'm not sure. The remote for the Radeon AIW is cool though:D Works for me no problem from 50 feet away through walls!!
