I have a Canon S200 ELPH but my father is looking for something a more advanced but not too much bigger than what i have.

Basically, he's looking for a 3.0 megapixel or higher camera thats a little bigger than the canon elph series (something he can easily carry around on his trip to europe).

Thanks guys!

I have seen the pictures from a Fuji camera, and they are superb. I have also heard that Ricoh camera's are among the best there is.
I quite like the Sony Mavica cameras with the floppy option, although saving and access time is compromised.

I'm a tried and try Olympus owner. First a C-2000, now an E20N.

The E20N might be a bit heavy duty for what you're looking for, but the Olympus 4040 (the great grand child of my old, trusty C2000) is a nice piece of work. It does over 4mpixels, has shutter and apature manual controls as well as an automatic mode, all sorts of light level menus and some truly excellent lenses.

I think it's comparible to most current multi-mega-pixel cameras in price. The ergonomics are old school but they work. No rotating lenses or other gimmicks, just a solid little camera with lots of options.

for the C4040:

If you're in a dreaming state of mind, for the E20N:

From personal experience I've got to say Olympus makes *great* cameras!
