Well I finally got my new box put together, it is an abit kt7 raid, with an 800 AMD duron. I just have enough pieces in it to boot right now. BUT, here is my big confusion. The old one is a PC Chips (yeah I know Voogru) with a 500 AMD Duron.
I had 500 mg of ram in it. It is a slow dog.
I put the new one together and even just for the boot tossed in my old HD (toshiba 20g) and I can not believe the difference in the speed. I dropped in 2 ram sticks I think a 256 pc 133 and 64 of a pc100 (or is that backwards the 256 is the newer stuff). It flys! My apps work, my INTERNET connection works better... What is up, is my bios really destroyed on the other board but for some reason it still limps? When I have tried to flash the old board, it tells me the software is missing, or something to that effect.. Any opinions? By the way twice I have been asked if I talked to you guys about it, seems people have listened when I have spoken about the bright minds on this board. I appreciate all of you!
