Unless it's on your LAN, you won't be able to reach it. If it's a PC on your LAN and it's using a firewall program, the same applies. Juddski 07-11-2002, 04:49 PM im using no firewall this is the problem ive been getting since day 1 im using a program called correct connect! it comes with ntls install disk monitors conection if i go in to a test it says good connection but all the time its logging 100% packet loss and ip time out as u can see from above i keep loosing a stable connection i sopke to ntl tec and she said ( it should not be failing on a 10 ip) and this is a tv interative fault! please i need something to tell them as it sounds like they have got a book in front of them. BipolarBill 07-11-2002, 05:18 PM I'll say it again...if that 10.xxx.xxx.xxx IP is not on your LAN, you can't ping it. Since you can't ping it, you're wasting your time. What PC or node are you trying to ping? Who is 10.36.224.1? I would dump that software and use Windows networking. BipolarBill 07-14-2002, 01:35 PM I'm closing this thread after this post, Juddski. You love your capital letters, but you don't tell us where that log is from or why you consider this to be a problem. If that log is from your ISP's software, it's just a test ping to known nodes. If the ping software or batch file was created on a LAN, they probably used a node on their LAN to test, but never removed that ping from the script. It's a non-issue. So is this entire thread.
