I just put my new stuff in an Antec Tower. But I lost my book, and the floppy seems to need the face removed..What's up with that? Do I need a new one, or does the old one need a "face lift"? Also do I do anything (remove etc) when I hook up a fan on the front... Sorry I'm Lame... Thanks for the patience....

Not familiar with what case your talking about in particular.
But usually, if the case has the floppy eject button etc on the front of it, you just slide your standard floppy drive up flush with the back of the mounting. The floppy eject on the front of the case, marrys up with the actual floppy eject button. No surgery required.

Hope this helps a little. Justy.

You wouldn't happen to be dealing with a Gemsone case, now, would you?

Thanks Justy I will try it... I stuffed an old compac floppy (faceless) in there to boot the system, but it doesn't work too well.

The Antec Gemstone series of cases have colored translucent plastic panels, similar to Apple's translucent plastics. Although Apple's plastics are bulletproof. I wouldn't trust the Gemstone's panels under fire.

Mac's cases are bullet-proof? Gues they have more than a few irate customers? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
