I am buying a new gaming computer soon, and I wanted to know if there are any good sites to get a new motherboard that supports DDR RAM, and that can have an AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.2 GHz chip. I have looked around and haven't seen any sites that will build me a computer that has a motherboard supporting DDR SDRAM. Plz help

I had that same problem so I decided to make one myself. I posted a message here and someone told me there is a place that shows you how on this site. Its still kinda confusing but with a little research I'l be on top of it. But thats all if you want to build your own computer, its cheaper that way (you can get 256mb of ddr ram for $129 on pricewatch.com) and you get to have your computer tailored to your exact needs up to the last part. But if you want one buit for you I'v heard that Falcon Northwest, and Alienware are great. plus with them you get tech suppport.
GOOD LUCK on whatever choice you make!

OK this is the official? Sysopt build your own computer guide http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif Also if you look on the main forum page, there is a link there called "Guides", there's a lot more good reading there! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/buildpc/
Next, you gotta get parts! Same thing, on the top of the main Forum page is a link to the Price Guide, excellent place to find some of the best prices on the net. Now for a secret, listen close so no one else will hear! Go to the forum "PC Steals and Deals" There are a several people here that don't do much of anything all day, except search the web for the best prices on mainly computer parts. The Grand Master of this venture being DrVette! He's got about 85 million +/- posts of the best deals around http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif For building your own, you've come to the right place!! Any time you have a question, just drop a line and someone will be more than happy to help you out!

Mwave.com has the option that lets you choose the parts you want in your system and their technicians build it and test it for you for a fee.
