I have a Compaq IJ700 inkjet printer.It has a LEXMARK chipset inside..It has not been used very much and is almost 2.5 years old ...Heres the deal ...when I fire it up, it starts to print. Then the optic ribbon appears to come out of the little thearmal scanner thingie...and I get a print error...Anyone had any problems with this or like this ...I would be thankfull once again for the input...

Is it possible the optic ribbon is just stiff and brittle with age? May need to replace it, or ???

sounds good ...didnt really think it might be wore out....ill look into that....thanks
